Does exactly what it says on the tin. 30W is enough to charge my new Macbook Pro 16" even during use. I haven't tried it when the device is completely empty, but it will happily charge it to the end while surfing YouTube at the same time and easily surfs. Great deal. Takes up virtually no wall space and is much less bulky than the charger that came with the laptop. I suspect if I were using something that maxed out the laptop 30w might not be enough to keep up, but I haven't managed to get the device to outperform the charger yet.As is often the case with non-Apple chargers, there's that slight buzz against your skin when you run your fingers across wipe the surface of the connected laptop This is not dangerous (neither for you nor for the laptop) and is caused by the missing working ground contact in the charger.
