I'm very picky about my wallet. Should hold everything, have at least one clear pocket and a padded back where I can attach a thin velcro strip to secure the thin ink stick. Health issues mean I carry a makeup bag that takes up more space and is heavier than I would like, so I want my wallet to be thinner and lighter to offset the weight in my purse. It needs to be smooth as I often make my own cotton lined wallets - I don't want the wallet to "pull" when I try to get it in or out. The old wallet was fully loaded 1½ inches thick - bulky. The Big Skinny was less than 1 inch thick with the same contents! The fabric is smooth nylon (I don't even have that fabric to try and make my own wallet), heavy duty, with a magnetic closure inside so there's no useless flap to weigh down or get in the way when carrying. Outside. I don't need extra space, but I tested 5 cards in two horizontal slots and two also in two stacked slots. Seemed to fit well. Purple makes me smile. Great job, tall thin people!
