Advantage: Mostly faster charging. Disadvantage: I didn't pay attention to the driving speed. My old drivetrain was 100% mechanical but at 7200rpm. The new drive is SSHD, but slightly slower at 5400 rpm. This matters in terms of post-boot actions, especially disk-intensive actions like system updates. My fault for not doing more thorough research. But be aware that you will definitely see improvements if your old hard drive ran at 5400 RPM. However, if your old drive is 7200 RPM, look for another 7200 RPM drive, or ideally a full SSD drive. Because for me this upgrade was more cost-covering. All that said, still good value for money.
