I personally like it because it is very thin and light as it is easy to put on and take off during my frequent hot flashes and then normal human temperature in cooler weather. I use this indoors and it's quick and easy compared to taking off my robe when the tide comes in. I think it may also be helpful for people with dysautonomia trying to cope with a similar temperature dysregulation situation. It's functional, not very hot, and much prettier than a dressing gown. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that for most people I'm not sure if it will be very warm at all. It washes well on a cold gentle cycle and tumble dry on a gentle cycle. There wasn't excessive lint and it's quite soft. It's big enough, at least enough to fit a 1X or 2X I'd say. The fringes don't seem to have any issues washing or drying and still look great. Aside from not being very warm for a typical non-hot flasher and with the temperature fully adjustable, I like it as the thin and light quality works well for my current situation.
