They are very soft and can stretch a bit if needed. I bought these for myself as an adult with very thin hair. Most hair ties fall out of my hair or I have to use small hair ties for the styles I like to wear and they have replaced the small hair ties my hair is getting tangled in and I have to clip them out. I use them literally every day and there are so many in the pack that if I lose them there will be many more and I feel I got a good amount for the value and this is a quality product. If you have fine hair, it comes in very handy, plus it's a bit thicker, which adds volume to the ponytail.
