A 4 year old girl opened the lid. She uses it as a night light and still wants it on during the day. She has a few little decorative lights but that's the ONLY thing she loves. to a different color. So it's a little annoying to switch between colors if you miss something you wanted, but that doesn't seem to bother the little girl.
