I'm size 6-8 US so I bought size 12/size US 8. They fit but were so tight on my waist that they cupped my skin and gave me a muffin at the top under my bust, and the ruffles went up when I walked. So if you're a little skinny like me, I recommend going up 2 sizes. If you are in good physical condition, only one size up might be suitable for you! I would warn EVERYONE against ordering the size they normally wear because they are definitely SMALL! Nevertheless I returned a size 12 and ordered a 14 and they fit perfectly. I found them quite flattering, which surprised me because most high-waisted swimsuits look like I'm wearing a diaper. They are quite long, longer than I thought they would be and they definitely go past my belly button. So if you are looking for something that looks like a vintage swim dress then this is it! If you're looking for a skirt that's a little shorter and more like boy shorts, you might not like this one. Also, the short part of the swimsuit sits a bit odd under the skirt. I have a fairly firm butt so they fit me, but I could see that someone with a smaller butt would have issues with the fit. 01/12/19 EDIT: Updated to 5 stars! I used these pants to go on a waterfall cliff jumping tour in the Dominican Republic. They were absolutely perfect! It's comfortable to walk, jump, slide, swim - no need to wear clothes over your swimsuit, this versatile item has it all covered! Paired with a crop top, they easily convert from gym wear to swimwear for a slightly sexy vintage look. Highly recommended!
