Used for parts - fuel system

I originally bought this to replace my stock carburettor which had seen better days; However, upon thorough research, it turns out that there are some qualitative differences that you might want to consider. >> "Air Shutoff Valve". There is no. There isn't much information on what this does, but in short it helps prevent misfires. Considering Honda had it for a reason, I wondered why it wasn't included with any aftermarket carburetor. >> "Float" and "Float Valve" were not what I expected. It seems that thinner and cheaper plastic. It was also not interchangeable with the OEM carburetor. Even if I did, I wouldn't trade it. >> "Partition" - it wasn't on top of the float. >> "Membrane/vacuum piston" - looks roughly milled. There appeared to be small chips on the piston. The bezel part didn't look bad; it is noticeably thicker than the OEM. Also as a side note (not really an issue) the compression spring is shorter than the OEM. >> "Rubber Plug" - The OEM carburetor has a rubber plug that sits just above the "Starter Jet" and next to the Slow Jet. that you can remove and clean. A permanent copper bearing appears to have been replaced on this aftermarket model. As with all other valves, injectors, plugs, screws, gaskets etc. They appear to be of good quality. I ended up taking this aftermarket carb apart and using its parts to replace them on my stock carb. Using carb cleaner and a non-abrasive rag was a much better choice. It took some time, but the result has improved a lot. You can buy rebuild kits which are cheaper and if your original carburetor can be salvaged then this is the route you should take.
