I have mixed feelings about this product for a number of reasons. I bought 5 of these to install them all on the same day, while I have 2 installed I can return the rest. On the plus side, it was very easy to install, has great video and audio quality, great driving and playback features, two-way audio, etc. I did a little research and it's probably one of the best security cameras out there. If you have a strong WiFi signal and an outlet in many places in your house (I have hotspots all over my property), you're fine. Don't worry about changing camera batteries, connecting to a proprietary hub with a limited range, etc. It's practically plug-and-play. Bad: I had trouble setting up my first camera using the Nest app on my iPhone (iOS 10) - the app just froze when I checked for WiFi networks. So I plugged the camera's USB into my computer, ran the .exe and set it up. Connecting USB power from the camera to the power port with a cylinder lock mechanism meant I had to drill a much larger hole than was theoretically required when running the camera cable through the walls. They should have offered some sort of disconnect or locking connector on both ends so you don't have to drill such a big hole to let it through. After I installed it it worked, but then it stopped. I had to reboot the router and change the wifi channel from 1 to auto - so far so good. My biggest gripe is the Nest Aware cloud storage, which offers monitoring and storage features for your history. I found out about this AFTER I bought the product - they need this information to be clear in the product description on the Revain website as it is nowhere to be found. The problem is that they only offer 2 cloud storage subscriptions to save your history with Nest Aware cloud storage. Don't get me wrong, you get great features, but those prices are also a bit high for cloud storage, especially if you have multiple cameras. Here's the breakdown: Current as of 10/24/2016: 1) 10 days - $100/year per camera with $50 off each additional camera. So for me - that would be $300 a year - to store 10 days of history on 5 of my cameras. Which I've already spent $1,000 on. OR - You also have: 2) 30 days - $300/year/camera with 50% off the camera ($150/year). This is ridiculous for home consumers who want basic home security. I used this for home security if nothing happens that day - it might be overwritten the next day, I don't care. Nest - please subscribe to a Home Security subscription so owners can choose how much storage they want or offer and an introductory pack for 1 or 2 days of storage at a reasonable price. I understand that if you contact Nest about this offer, they will provide your feedback and forward it to the reseller for review. I spoke to a Nest rep yesterday and that's what he told me.
