Wonderful! We live in Texas and winters can freeze for a few months but usually it's the 40's and 50's. Consequently, I wasn't looking for a durable coat for our rat terrier, who is freezing outside but doesn't let us pull a sweater over our heads. This jacket is perfect - easy to slip on and light enough to play with. Dogs don't stay in the rain long enough to get wet, but it's perfect for running errands - raindrops just shake. take off her velvet coat and she'll really go out into the yard now when it rains! However, I totally misjudged the size - ordered medium because it is a bit chubby. The back length is good but a little loose in the chest and ribs so don't worry about your dog's weight when buying - there's plenty of room in the middle to accommodate. However, I thought it would be better to be wrong, but I was wrong! As she's a little big for her and has short legs, the zipper at the front of her chest hangs below the bottom of her legs, which irritates her a bit when she walks. We also tried it on our mini poodle and it fit perfectly even though she is skinny; she is black and has longer legs - the cutest little red riding hood in the world!
