Review on Cleer Audio Ally Plus II True Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds - Long Battery Life of 33 Hours - Top Bluetooth Earbuds with Smart Controls, Cleer+ Mobile App - Midnight Blue by Kathy Babson

Lost or features with sophisticated flair.

I really like these true wireless headphones. I find this case unique in that it allows you to showcase your buds through a plastic window that resembles a desktop computer case with a window. It's slightly larger than other cases but still very portable. Beige matte color is easy on the eye and does not leave fingerprints. The buds are also beige, but they have dark gold trimmings around the edges of the touchpads, which are subtly Cleer-branded. I think this is quite a complex design. The buds are thick too, but luckily they fit well and stay in the ear without sticking out too much. While I wouldn't do flips or anything with them, I could walk around without worrying about them. They also meet the IPX4 standard, so a little sweat and rain won't be a problem. The case can be charged via USB-C and wirelessly (thanks!). The battery life is impressive: approx. 8 hours. (11 without ANC) with ANC and volume at 70%. Case adds 22 hours. It also has a quick charge function: 5 minutes in the case increases the earbuds playtime by 1 hour. This is much better than other similarly priced headphones. Now it's Bluetooth 5.2, making them future-proof and easy to pair. Also, it's good to see that they support AptX Adaptive and I didn't notice any noticeable lag when playing videos or games. The touch controls are quite intuitive and easy to use. I will say they were a bit touchy as my hair would activate them from time to time. Controls can be further customized with the Cleer+ app. The active noise cancellation (ANC) works perfectly. It's not at the level of leading ANC buds, but does a decent job. They cut out low frequencies like rumble and heavy traffic, but still let a lot of mids through. Ambient Mode works just as well. It amplifies sound well through microphones, but still sounds a bit unnatural. I still appreciate that that option is definitely there! 10mm drivers ensure a really nice sound. The bass is rich, but very precise and extends to sub-bass levels without distorting the sound. The mid-range frequencies are not suppressed at all, but instead are pushed forward, making vocals sound natural and percussion instruments distinguishable. The highs are also noticeably crisp without being harsh or fatiguing. And if you don't quite like the sound out of the box, the Cleer+ application has a full-fledged equalizer. Channel separation and an expansive soundstage take the sound out of your head. Well done cler! As I said before, the Cleer+ app is a must. This offers quite a bit of value for an already impressive set of features. From touch controls to equalizer and ANC to voice assistant selection, it completes the ecosystem. As you can see I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality at a reasonable price. While not perfect, the wealth of features available overshadows other "high-end" models.
