They are light (blue and gray striped version), warm, fluffy and easy to put on. The stiff heel doesn't hang around my little one's foot like some boots do - it's wide enough for a wide foot and thick toe to slip in and out without much wrestling. The side zipper opens low enough to make dressing easier. They have a very fluffy cuff at the top - it picks up some snowballs if you're actively playing outdoors, but not if you're walking normally. Waterproof like most warm boots: Wet snow, puddles or hours of play will get wet, but regular play or short walks will keep you dry. No complaints of cold toes, even when wet. Boots also dry quickly.
