Extremely Loud Fan - Amplifier
This product is very easy to set up and has many good configuration options. However, I would not recommend it for home systems or amplified setups. in the same area as the speakers. I don't see it as non-intrusive, even if it's hidden in the dropdown, and certainly not for any type of faculty station. It's about as loud as a half-full server rack and can be clearly heard over the speakers at ambient noise levels. I have contacted Monoprices tech support and will update this review if they provide any insightful information on how to reduce fan speed.
