This product is effective and works well for our corgis and stops annoying barking. However, our Chihuahuas are absolutely furious that they are shaking horribly even when the signal is not being transmitted. I called the company and they said there is no alarm when the lights are off, but from the moment I put the battery in the Chihuahua it went haywire. Also, there's no on/off switch and it's annoying trying to insert and remove the 9-volt battery. We bought a spray bottle, filled it with water and sprayed in Corgi's face and she stopped barking. In our situation it was more efficient.
