I needed something to store my stainless steel straws, wooden handled knives, wooden spoons and other cutlery that I hand wash. I don't have a dryer. This is just the right size for those things that can be hand washed, that need to lay on their side and roll, or tossed off the counter. The slots on the back are perfect for wooden spoons, medium knives and scissors, and I use the center slot for straws. I haven't used the front slots yet, but I'm sure they will come in handy for small things one day. Easy to clean, looks acceptable on the counter and if you really want I can put it on a shelf which I keep under the sink so no one can see. It's small enough to take up little space but big enough to be useful. I would definitely buy again.
