I bought this camera based on reasonable/good reviews, ratings and it's digital as my Chinese analog camera was terrible but I also disagree with this camera. I bought it two weeks before our trip. , installed and on the road. I had a few concerns before heading out and discovered a few along the way. When I came back and decided a refund was needed my refund window had closed so I'll have my say in the review instead! I believe this is ONLY rear camera, so don't buy it for live rear camera. Although it claimed a wider view, it was barely able to get from end to end (left to right) of my trailer while it was 7 feet off the ground. On the plus side I can point out the basic LCD screen, it has silly lines that can be rotated. off, allows folding and everything and has a good suction cup system. All the extra parts that came with the screen made no sense to install other than the suction cup. As with almost all of these cameras, the antenna mount is in the wrong place, hitting the mount at almost every possible angle. I would like to know the science of porcelain making. One guy invents something and 101 manufacturers just tear it down and don't know how to improve it? I have two major complaints. #1. The angle of the camera lens in the housing is so crooked that it has a high angle, so the mount has to be placed on the gasket under the extreme bevel. I then had to adjust this bevel so that the camera deviated from its perfect axis and then ONLY do it at right angles to the bumper. If you have OCD you won't sleep at night how awful it looks and how poorly made it is. See photo #2 for better understanding. This thing loses permanent connection while moving. Please don't tell me it's due to WIFI and other radio signals from passing cars... it happened in the middle of nowhere and only seemed to work 50% of the time. Our setup is a 23 foot trailer (box) and I place the camera about 36-37 feet from the screen in the cabin to the rear of our aluminum trailer. Note that I placed the camera as high as possible with the antenna above the camper box. We also had an extension antenna from our analog one, which didn't improve reception much. It is not suitable as a live view camera for two reasons. Bad reception and bad viewing angles. Even when used ONLY as a backup camera, it often fails. Maybe all RFs at most RV parks, but I just stopped using it after our first try back at site. It just went on/off/logged in/off and only made the backup experience worse. I suggest staying away from not just this device, but most RF devices. Perhaps there are reliable options with wired cameras, but then you can still suffer from poor quality and viewing angles. My setup was a 2014 F150 Extended Cab (6.5ft bed) and a Gray Wolf 23DBH camper trailer.
