Review on πŸ‹οΈ G-Shock GBD800UC-8: The Ultimate Fitness Watch with Unbeatable Features by Brian Healy

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not exactly what was advertised.

I'm a big fan of the G-Shock series, but for $150 you can expect something more valuable. I'll start with the reason I'm returning the watch. The "Auto-Light" feature turns off after a few hours and this is not advertised, just mentioned in the instructions that came with the watch. I will not open the app every 6 hours and sync my phone to reactivate the auto light feature. The screen is almost invisible unless you're in a very well-lit room. That's my biggest problem. My next issue with this watch is that its step count is actually not accurate at all. My cell phone has a pedometer and it shows a completely different number of steps than the watch. Also, it's a little annoying that the G-Shock app keeps crashing, having to re-enable the lighting feature, and counting steps incorrectly. .I have already printed out the return slip and will send it off tomorrow.
