Good Casio, not my type

The G-Shock GBD800UC-5 men's watch is good for several reasons. But that's not my type of watch for several good reasons. Consequently, I initiated and successfully completed the return and received a refund. Good? These are Casio G-Shock, they look good and wear well. The downside for me was readability and size. I'm used to big G-Shocks and this particular model is smaller. The group itself seemed a little flimsy for my taste. It has a pedometer that connects via an Apple or Android app. I…

Just one complaint. except everything is 100% correct

I've always been a fan of GShock watches. The size is spot on and the durability is second to none. I received my 6 days before the estimated delivery date which was amazing. The package was also well packed. It feels a bit bulky if you're not used to it, but it's worth it. The quality of the material is excellent and you can tell when you wear it. digital face. Not impossible, but it's a bit off. I recommend increasing the brightness a bit. And the last one is the backlight button. It lasts…

I love this watch: Sport watch

I was looking for a good value casual watch that wouldn't break my heart if scratched or worn out and it's really a pleasure. If you are cross buying this (GBD800UC-5) and GBA800UC-5A/GA700UC-5A, please note that they are different shades. This one (GBD800UC-5) looks better in my opinion; slightly warmer brown and doesn't look like plastic at all. The Bluetooth syncing for setup is great - I have to admit I don't use the step counting feature so can't comment on how good (or bad) it is. Others…

not well suited for training and fitness

Gshock is needed for longevity and some common functions like backlight, time, date, water resistance and stopwatch. What this promises is step counting and GPS-like tracking. Every time you want to see the numbers you have to turn your wrist quickly to make them light up. You MUST contact the setup system each morning to reset this feature. SLOWLY send footsteps to your phone. You will spend most of the day wondering if it really counts your progress. ONCE, and ONLY once, I saw a map-like…

Not exactly what was advertised.

I'm a big fan of the G-Shock series, but for $150 you can expect something more valuable. I'll start with the reason I'm returning the watch. The "Auto-Light" feature turns off after a few hours and this is not advertised, just mentioned in the instructions that came with the watch. I will not open the app every 6 hours and sync my phone to reactivate the auto light feature. The screen is almost invisible unless you're in a very well-lit room. That's my biggest problem. My next issue with this…

Better than expected, with caveats.

This is my first G-Shock. I've had an Apple Watch for a few years. Now I have twins who like to press all the buttons on the watch, call Siri and so on. The water regime was stupid. So hop on an old-school G-Shock. It can't make calls, send texts, or respond to what you say. It can count steps and seems almost accurate, which is good enough for me. The time is always "on", and there is an alarm clock. What's good: Comfortable - more than I imagined. No hard grips pressing on my arm. Practical…
