Review on πŸ‹οΈ G-Shock GBD800UC-8: The Ultimate Fitness Watch with Unbeatable Features by Jason Cox

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Better than expected, with caveats.

This is my first G-Shock. I've had an Apple Watch for a few years. Now I have twins who like to press all the buttons on the watch, call Siri and so on. The water regime was stupid. So hop on an old-school G-Shock. It can't make calls, send texts, or respond to what you say. It can count steps and seems almost accurate, which is good enough for me. The time is always "on", and there is an alarm clock. What's good: Comfortable - more than I imagined. No hard grips pressing on my arm. Practical watch strap. Simple application. Stands out. Kids will know what a non-smart watch is. It is waterproof without any special treatment. If one of the kids spills or vomits in it, I don't care. Not so great: The time numbers seem small to me given the bulky clock. The alarm is barely audible. Without a backlight, the screen is difficult to read in daylight. The same of course for the night. Not because of the watch but the product arrived in used condition with a broken box and item open. Given the price, I was expecting something new. Good thing this isn't a gift for anyone.
