This is my second pair of Insulated Trek Ascents. I could walk in them all winter (I change shoes) and wear them when I go for walks. I put on a pair of Injinji socks when the temperature drops to around -5C and I haven't had much of a problem. Aside from stepping on despicable puddles, any dampness/wetness I experienced was due to my feet sweating (approximately) while running. Grip wasn't a problem for me, definitely better than normal boots/boots. My feet still enjoy the benefits of being "barefoot" and protected from the elements. I guess spending time outside barefoot in the snow (I'm a Wim Hof Methodist) helps me endure the cold and wear FiveToes year-round.
