Review on Lavender Citrus Body Wash - Organic & Sensitive Skin Friendly, All Natural Shower Gel for Women, Men & Kids (1 Pump) by Kimmi Willett

The package arrived today (or yesterday after midnight). Three items in this shipment were either pre-opened or damaged in transit. This was the only item in the box from this seller, so it looks like Revain did it, not the seller. Not sure. THIS particular bottle arrived with a pump (opened), the bottle is covered in soap and most of the box is also sticky with soap. Since it wasn't sealed and spilled in transit I'll probably be returning it so I didn't use it. AND ALONG WITH THE STREAM - As it was spilled on itself and on top of the crate, I noticed a few things in the smell. The smell of the bottle I received isn't bad, but it doesn't smell like the lavender/citrus products I've used in the past either. Notably, the scent isn't just lavender and citrus (which makes sense since the oils used in this soap aren't just those two). I can't fully describe the entire olfactory difference, but two parts of that difference are that the smell is not noticeable at all and the smell of rosemary is more noticeable than its place on the ingredient list would suggest. There is another, heavier and less woody scent that I can't identify but don't like either. The overall scent is more complex but also heavier than any other lavender-citrus product I've used. Maybe it's still the intended smell, or I received a fraudulent bottle - not sure. Overall not a bad smell. It's just not the smell of just lavender and citrus. And maybe a little less feminine. (sort of?) My favorite lavender and citrus product used to be a blend of lavender and bergamot that smelled divine. It was light and slightly floral but not sweet. It had a fresh and slightly woody or herbal note. I haven't been able to find it for the last few years. Lavender and citrus products seem to be a lot less common than they used to be, so I was excited to try this. Although the smell isn't the same, I wouldn't return it based on the smell alone. But since it arrived open enough to spill, it will likely come back along with questionable toothpaste.
