Great for a new install and retro + cheaper than the big stores!
Bought these to replace all the old lightbulbs in all our closets. We wanted them mainly so we could better insulate the attic. The old, large can lanterns could not have insulation around or on top, leaving several 18 inch diameter voids for heated air to enter the house and be lost. They're easy to install, look better, and give off MUCH more light. (I also bought a 4" size for our new Reno kitchen and added a dimmer to it. I'm very happy with them too.) These lights are of the highest quality in my opinion. and I know they are cheaper than similar lamps in big stores near me.
