The Sony S200F replaces the old LG 2.0 soundbar which mainly plays music in my office. Sometimes I watch movies or videos as they are tied to my DakBoard display. I'm currently setting it up to stream music via Bluetooth from my iPad Pro. And coming from LG, that sound is much louder and clearer. You can clearly hear the separation for stereo, and with the built-in subwoofer you get thin but strong bass. Nothing too overwhelming, it sits on a solid wood body with open sides. So it fills the room very well, lots of compliments from my peers on how clean it sounds. My office is about 10 feet from our open tech lab area and you can hear it there. Where before my LG had tiny sound and not a very harsh presence and was only audible in the lab at maximum volume. For example, the overall size is perfect for a 32-inch or smaller monitor or TV. My office monitor is a Samsung 32" QLED and the width fits my monitor exactly. But since my stand is too low I can't put it directly under it. But it sits across from it and doesn't interfere with the review at all. The Overall look of the soundbar is very modern, the texture of the top is nice and looks very premium, the two open side aux ports have a glossy black finish, complementing the beautiful front grille with no logos or branding, the Sony logo in the top left corner is aligned with center buttons for Power, Source, BT and VOL+ and - with 3 small LEDs near center for indicator light for Power, BT and USB The included remote control is basic but has all the buttons you need to navigate your music properly: Forward and Back buttons are connected to BT for next track, Pause, Play are also connected to BT All sound modes have a different one it sound field, I found Auto Sound and Standard Sound are best for music. Cinema has a wider sound, echo-like. The music mode sounded earthier and smaller. The voice does what it says, makes voices louder than anything else, not good for music. Night mode is just soothing. However, since it is BT, the phone volume can override the volume. When watching Plex and Netflix, Soundbar mode will detect the correct Dolby soundtracks and play them in 2.1. This is perfect for a small soundbar as I don't watch too much video content and am more focused on music. Overall this is a great soundbar, the built in subwoofer makes a big difference too and with no need for a large bulky wireless subwoofer this S200F is a great all in one solution. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good office, dorm, or bedroom solution with a 32-43 inch TV.
