This rug is quite heavy and also large. Since this is my first time owning a cat, I am constantly learning. The carpet works great! It's big enough to have plenty of it in front of the tray or I can slide it under the tray when I need less. This works great for our teenage kittens. Now questions. It's not that easy to clean. Some of it gets removed with a broom, some with a vacuum, but to really clean it I take it outside, use a water hose and let it dry. I guess I have to use the shower in the colder months. It's made out of some sort of rubbery material, and while it's good at holding dirt when you need it, it also holds it when you want to put it away. I think I read that you can just siphon it off, and you can to a point. But to really clean it well, there needs to be some water pressure behind it. I would probably buy it again because it's heavy, well made and still looks new after a few months. But cleaning is not as easy as they say. That's why it got 4 instead of 5 stars. Very difficult to clean to make sure it's all fiber. My cat loves it, I love how she holds on to the litter when she leaves the box and brushing her every few days to make sure she's clean is my only downside.
