This is a stripped down, no frills model from a company that makes great headphones. The connector isn't gold plated, and the mic/phone button feels light and solid enough. The only metal casing around the speakers is just aluminum. But the frequencies are balanced, precise and pleasant. There are no sharp spikes, fuzzy instruments, or sibilance. In general, the sound is warm with a slight midrange emphasis. The upper highs are muted compared to high-end headphones. But these aren't high-end headphones, these are very reliable mid-range headphones at a bargain price. They sound better than any headphones I've personally bought in the store but not as good as the Xiaomi MI Pro Iron Hybrids which cost more than 3 times the price, but they complement a more accurate sound than the sound of the pros Magnets with sound what is more typical of a good dynamic driver. If you're not a music lover or headphone collector and just want a great sounding headphone at a good price, this is a good deal.
