Description of ๐ŸŽง Xiaomi Piston In-Ear Headphones - 2017 Colorful Fresh Edition (Black) with Remote & Mic: Enhanced Audio Experience

Elegant in aluminum: Light yet scratch-resistant, the aluminum sound chamber is anodized for a sleek finish and features a finely engraved CD-like pattern to prevent it from slipping. Delicate details like the chamfered edge feels smooth in hand and adds an elegant touch. Comes with two additional earbud sizes (S / L). A sound to resonate with: The diaphragm uses a combination of aerospace-grade metal and PET to create a balanced and solid sound. Tuned and optimized across popular music genres including pop, rock, dance and more. 3rd gen balanced damping system: Uniquely designed, the 3rd generation balanced damping system enhances sound and air flow. It separates air flow at the front of the chamber and lets sound through the back to create a mellow and transparent sound. Fashionably flat: The simple, stylish cable is designed with an inner cable wrapped in Kevlar for extra durability. Outer lined with PET, the flat cable is smooth to the touch and is resistant to bends and tangles. Press for play: Pause, play, answer and hang up calls conveniently with a simple press of a button. Compatible with Mi phones, Android and iOS devices.

Great sound, poor durability.

I wear headphones a lot, so I've tried a lot of cheap and expensive options. They sound good, but don't stand up to overuse. Good sound stage, a bit tinny, good mids. I mainly use them for podcasts and they respond well to the human voice. I miss the classic pistons.

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • Nothing here

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Decent but not great.

I've always been a Mi fan and I think my expectations were too high for the price, it has good sound quality for its price but not great, it lacks dynamics and soundstage . Compared to my old school 10 year old Koss PortaPro, the ProtaPro has clearer sound, bigger soundstage, better dynamics and nicer picture, but Porter's is ugly by today's standards. I need a decent erased wire as a backup, I think Xiaomi will do that.

Pros
  • Great choice
Cons
  • Too long to wait

Excellent value for money

The only thing I didn't like was the packaging of the goods. Otherwise I was very impressed with these headphones. For the price they offer the same good quality as some of the Panasonic headphones I own. Really good for those who want decent sound quality at a very low price.

Pros
  • 3rd Generation Balanced Damping System: The unique design of the 3rd Generation Balanced Damping System improves sound and airflow. It splits the airflow at the front of the chamber and directs the sound through the back for a smooth and transparent sound.
Cons
  • Modern

Pros

Excellent price for headphones

This is a stripped down, no frills model from a company that makes great headphones. The connector isn't gold plated, and the mic/phone button feels light and solid enough. The only metal casing around the speakers is just aluminum. But the frequencies are balanced, precise and pleasant. There are no sharp spikes, fuzzy instruments, or sibilance. In general, the sound is warm with a slight midrange emphasis. The upper highs are muted compared to high-end headphones. But these aren't high-endโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Elegant aluminium. The lightweight yet scratch-resistant aluminum sound chamber is anodized for a smooth finish and has a finely engraved CD-like pattern to prevent slipping. Filigree details such as the beveled edge fit comfortably in the hand and ensure elegance. Comes with two extra headphone sizes (S/L)
Cons
  • Not the best
