First off it's a beautiful polished chrome mirror that looks great on a dressing table. Second, the light works very well when plugged in. I bought it for my mum and she is very happy with it (beware we ordered another one, at first we thought it was chrome like the picture but it was white plastic, sometimes these pictures/descriptions are misleading). It leaves the plug on, so we're not sure about the rechargeable aspect. Third, 7x seems just as good as 10x for their purposes. From a design point of view, if there is a way to place the end cap in the base instead of the top of the mirror, it will look and function better, or at least place it under the outside of the round part of the mirror closer to the base to allow the plug / Wire doesn't reach that far.
