Huge – in a good way. i love lightning

So here's what I think; This is a rain cape, not a fashion statement. In that sense it's great. Yes, he is huge. If you're skinny, you probably won't like it if you don't mind adding about 20 pounds. I'm a size 18 and it makes me look like a tank top but it should keep me dry and not too hot. I don't know if the big yellow dots would fit someone my size but YMMV. I would have preferred small polka dots but those weren't available when I needed the cape. On the plus side, I will find it easy to stand out from the crowd. I like the zipper on the front. I've worn countless raincoats while cycling and my biggest concern is how difficult they are to put on, especially when wet, and how hot I feel underneath. Lightning solves both problems. Easy to put on and well ventilated. The hood is as big as the rest of the cape. It's shapeless and has no edges, so I might try adding some plastic fasteners to make it fit better. I bought this to wear to the theme park and I just assume it will save me a mess. I can easily put it on my small backpack. Come to think of it, it will probably work with any size backpack. In addition, they added a series of plastic fasteners to each side of the cape to create armholes and make them adjustable. Just undo as many snaps as you like.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
