There's nothing I hate more than standing in the rain and getting wet. So I bought this poncho because I saw good reviews saying it protects you from the rain. I only use it occasionally (obviously I'm not in the rain 24 hours a day, 7 days a week) during the two months that I travel. time seemed to shed water. I ordered this polka dot poncho for me and black for my son for our upcoming Alaskan cruise on July 31, 2018. I decided to go with it. after seeing good reviews. Black was in reserve until July 20. I bought this poncho for a trip to Disneyland where ponchos are notoriously expensive and Florida weather is unpredictable. I chose this poncho because of the good reviews here. From the pictures online it looked well built. When I received it it was thinner than expected and had a small carabiner pocket to attach the poncho tote bag to anything and looked great for travel. I unrolled it, checked the zippers and the weight of the poncho, and then thought nothing of it until we went on vacation.

So here's what I think; This is a rain cape, not a fashion statement. In that sense it's great. Yes, he is huge. If you're skinny, you probably won't like it if you don't mind adding about 20 pounds. I'm a size 18 and it makes me look like a tank top but it should keep me dry and not too hot. I don't know if the big yellow dots would fit someone my size but YMMV.
