I ordered this polka dot poncho for me and black for my son for our upcoming Alaskan cruise on July 31, 2018. I decided to go with it. after seeing good reviews. Black was in reserve until July 20. I received a notification that I will receive it on July 17th. It fits very well. I'm 5ft 7in and it's not too big but big enough to comfortably fit a backpack or bag. It's slightly above the knees in the front and mid-knee in the back. The material is more like an umbrella. It has a zipper with a small pocket. There is a drawstring to close the hood. I took a piece of cloth, put a poncho over it and poured water over it. Water did not penetrate and the fabric was dry. There are 3 clasps on each shoulder and it runs the full length of the arm. It also comes with a small storage bag. It didn't smell. In general, I consider the purchase successful. The real test is when it rains, how effective it is, and if I get wet. I will update when we have episodes of rain. I hope it lasts.
