Cheap for withdrawing / just making music; not for true hi-fi use

I'm new to audiophiles but as a handyman and musician I know what audiophiles are talking and hearing about. hissing/noise/etc. I have read absolutely no reviews. If you have a decent setup you will definitely hear it. If you have a loud enough tone, you will definitely hear it. So it's $14 to your door. Honestly, whatever. You get what you pay for. My hifi strategy is to start at the core (player) and move on, and that's just a placeholder until I can build a proper phono amp (and beyond). If you consider it an audiophile phono stage, don't look for it. I would give very bad grades for that purpose. For most people who just play records or want to start a hi-fi hobby this is fine and for the price it gets the job done. The lack of an on/off switch is annoying (I turn it off when not in use). ). Minus one star. This is, in my opinion, the biggest downside of what the product actually is. I won't beat it if it hisses with the reasoning above, but not having a power button is just wasteful and stupid. He remits the $0.02 cost of the switch to the buyer through his utility bill. Bad engineering ethics. Another star for that.
