I just got this monitor after reading all the rave reviews from Revain.com. This is a very attractive monitor that is easy to install if your graphics card supports 1680 x 1050 resolution. If not, you can add about $160 for this upgraded graphics card. This monitor has a brightness button, but it's REALLY bright. even with the setting turned off. It doesn't hurt the eyes. But it's still a bit annoying. I had a five-year-old 17-inch Envision monitor that failed, and I realized that switching to this ViewSonic 20-inch widescreen model produced a less than perfect image. Due to the high resolution, many texts on the website and in other programs have become very small. Even after adjusting Windows XP and Internet browser settings, some websites and programs were still smaller than I would like. Yes, you see a lot more of each page just because the text is smaller. I think playing videos, games and movies on this monitor is a good thing. But the overall readability and format of websites is a disadvantage if you don't have good eyesight. What to look out for when buying a large monitor.
