I work in construction and needed a case that would offer some shock resistance if it slips out of my pocket or gets hit with a heavy, blunt object . I don't expect this case to protect my phone from being hit by a 5lb sledgehammer, but as far as grazing impacts from working with a shovel, ax handle, etc, this case should do pretty well. The first day I had it, one of my co-workers dropped a tool we call a walking pole. I'm sure it has a technical name, but it's basically a 60 inch long heavy steel rod with a spike on the end we use. for breaking or breaking concrete and this heavy thing landed right on the phone while it was in my pocket and when I pulled it out to check everything was fine. This protected my phone and I from a hit that could have been quite painful. I have a few complaints, although minor. This case adds volume to the phone and when you carry it in your pocket you will really feel it there. It's also almost impossible to use a magnetic mount with this case, it's too thick to fit a magnetic disk under the case, and there's no suitable place for it on the back of the case unless you sacrifice the stand function. Neither is of great importance, just something to be aware of. The stand works great in both landscape and portrait modes, which comes in handy when I'm watching sitcoms on my phone on my lunch break. It also has small flaps to cover the USB ports and headphones, which I like, but given the dusty environment I work in, I still use rubber plugs on these openings for added protection, but the flaps on this case are in okay for her. with built in screen protector but after a week dust and lint started to build up underneath so I switched to a bezel only bezel and just used an old tried and true ballistic glass screen protector. In case anyone is wondering, the built in screen protector fits and works well with the glass screen protector underneath, I've tested it. Phone. Very durable and the fingerprint scanner works just as well as without the case.
