I was looking for a reasonably priced, durable and lightweight tripod that would carry my travel bag. I settled on Manfrotto until several outdoor artists recommended the Dolica Pro-Line. I was skeptical that a $50 tripod could compete with more expensive tripods but decided to give it a try. I couldn't believe the quality of the tripod in this price range. Sturdy and well constructed, the Dolik can support the weight of my paint and accessory box without wobbling. The head fits perfectly in my Guerrilla Painter 9x12 pouch box and easily attaches and detaches for quick setup. I am very glad that I chose Dolica and not more expensive brands. Update 1/20/21: I've had this tripod for two years now and it's holding up well. It shows no signs of wear despite being towed outside and locally painted. It easily fits in both my Sienna Pochade and my Guerrilla Box. It is durable and withstands the wind without the need for weights. The legs have spikes that can be extended to grip the ground and the tripod can be tilted to withstand the wind. It's lightweight and I appreciate a carry case with a shoulder strap so I can carry it over my shoulder while hiking to a paint job. Not only would I buy it again, I would recommend my artist friends to check out Dolica before they buy more expensive tripods.
