Manage multiple Wi-Fi networks from a single outlet

I use the Meross Smart Wi-Fi power strip on the sofa in my living room. Attached to it are two side table lamps and a small personal fan for my wife. Each can be individually named and controlled via the Meross app, even if they are all plugged into the same power strip. I also bought 4 Meross Wi-Fi Mini Smart Plugs which are also controlled by the same Meross app. With the Meross app I was able to easily discover, connect and name any device. The 4 USB ports can only be named and managed as a group. I'm leaving them on for now so visitors can charge their phones and tablets. I enabled the Meross Alexa skill and set up procedures for each outlet. Most of the time, we prefer to use voice commands like "Alexa, turn on the oriental lantern" or "Alexa, turn off the fan" instead of opening the app. I even set up Alexa's "Alexa, turn off the living room" routine to turn off all devices at once before returning to the bedroom at night. We recently went on a week long vacation. I submitted the Meross app to turn various lights on and off in the evenings while we were away to give the appearance that someone was home. I used the Meross app on my phone to check the status of the outlets to see if that was the case and manually turn them on or off. It worked great! The extension cord is of very good quality and doesn't look cheap. I feel like I can trust it to draw current without overheating or shorting out. I highly recommend this product if you have devices close together that you want to control individually over a Wi-Fi connection.

Pros
  • Schedule & Timer Setup: WiFi Surge Protector supports auto turn on/off home or office devices. The added benefit of saving energy when devices aren't needed or accidentally left on. Supports sunrise and sunset setting.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
