There comes a time in my life when I need reading glasses, but I have good distance vision. I've found that I'm not good with reading glasses, so expensive glasses don't make sense to me. However, I like to look good and when I was looking for the right pair I found that some of the ones I ordered have a "protrusion" created by a magnifying piece attached to the outside of the glasses , and not on the inside where they are would be less noticeable. Although I wasn't thrilled with it, I kept these glasses as my only home reader. I continued my search for something prettier and lower on the geeky-geezer scale. Cat eyes fit the bill. I have them in black and I really like them. They are lightweight, comfortable and durable. They also have a reading piece that's attached to the inside of the glasses instead of the outside, so they just look better and the protrusion isn't as noticeable. I actually get compliments on them and people are happy that they are pretty cheap and cute. I can also afford to stash a few pairs all over my house and car, so if I accidentally get lost without them because there is another pair nearby or in my purse or pocket, it's not a problem. Overall I am very happy with them.
