I found it easy to sit on the dock or on the beach, it really helps. I play steel drum music through them to create a holiday atmosphere and it was great. My sister loves the tiki flame effect. I would have liked a little more range. I tried placing one on our dock and the other on the edge of the gangplank so we could still hear it while playing the corn hole, but it didn't have a good connection. I can try again and move them to fit the space. With fall (Halloween) approaching I might use them at an outside party for spooky noises, music and flickering flames. I wish I had more!
