Good idea, but the spring return shank is too long causing the rivets to rotate.

A spring bar is a good idea if you're concerned about buttons being smaller than your buttonholes and causing the buttons to go through the buttonhole. HOWEVER, the spring bars are too long, causing the pins to rotate left or right (when the spring bar is vertical) or up and down (when the spring bar is horizontal). Instead of rivets that look straight when your shirt is buttoned, the rivets are off-center. I returned them and bought a traditional set of back spikes.
