I was looking for a lightweight 100% cotton duvet for my guest room. Most items are microfiber, not cotton, but this comforter is definitely 100% cotton. I bought a blanket that looked like new since it was 1/3 the price. I ordered a king bed for a full size futon as some reviewers said. shrinks. I tried it on on my double bed before washing and it fit perfectly. It even covers the large flat sheet from Target's Threshold bedding sets (which is peeking out from under the 100% cotton duvet cover we had previously). I washed the duvet on a gentle cycle and machine dried it on a low heat, no shrinkage occurred. Not at all. I will be leaving a king comforter for the king bed in the master bedroom and ordering a full queen comforter for the futon. The density is IDEAL for the Texan summer/fall (which is mostly in season). The texture is what you would expect from 100% cotton. Not very silky like microfiber but with the softness of cotton. I will update this review if I run into any issues but for now this is exactly what I was looking for. another reviewer described and photographed. *The King pillowcases are slightly shorter vertically and narrower in height than my extra long and narrow Walmart King pillows. Since the pillows aren't hard or crowded I could probably put them in blankets and I think that would work. (Haven't tried this yet as my son currently uses king size pillows for virtual learning.) A "king size" pillow (non-standard) will likely fill them, or I could just use Walmart Craft Polyethylene use filler. Overall, I'm so glad I bought another set for our guest bedroom!
