This pump is good because you only need few hours. I bought two of these for my two aquariums. We get hurricanes here in Florida and I wanted something for gas exchange if we had a power outage for a few days. In my small aquarium, the main pump failed, so I had the opportunity to test this pump. He worked five to six hours before he died. I was expecting it to last over 24 hours like the old D cell pumps. I checked and the battery capacity is only 2200mAh which is the capacity of two AA batteries. For comparison, a type D battery has a capacity of 13,000 mAh and two type C batteries have a capacity of 12,000 mHa. The form factor of this pump can easily support two rechargeable Type-C batteries and offers multi-day usage. I feel like they cheapened battery capacity and spent money on looks that doesn't matter. I would have liked a larger battery capacity than a fancy capacitive button.
