I think they're great. They are very soft and will not hurt your child when they wave their arms. However, don't expect a younger toddler to be able to hold them. They're pretty big. I have 4 months. He loves her, but since he's still learning to grasp her, he's having a hard time holding her. I'm still playing with it with these. He loves faces. Oh, and who thought of putting a squeaker in a kid's toy? At first I thought it wasn't for the dog! But it does get my son's attention, so ok! I definitely recommend them.
