I recently bought 2 sets. 4 times for my sister and 2 times for me. She was very impressed with hers, loves them and wears them a lot since I bought them for her. Since she praised them so well, I decided to order a pair for myself. 2x seems more like 3-4x to me. They are very loose on the hips and I love how they hug the hips. They fit my calves perfectly, but because the hips and stomach are so big they seem to fall off a lot and I always pull them up. Also, they sit high on your stomach, well above your belly button, so I fold mine down. I bought them to wear around the house so it's not a big deal but I think even my sister can adjust them so for the price (which is great) I'll probably make sure she can adjust them, and give them to her and maybe try 1x lol the quality is great though! The material is a bit thicker than expected, but still fits well. I recommend getting 1 size down if you like a snug fit.
