Sold as grain free chicken but contains duck meal as the 6th ingredient. I wish they would put that on the front in case anyone has trouble feeding their pet ducks. In between are three different legumes. I stopped feeding both of my dogs grain-free a while back when it became known that some dogs were having health issues after switching to a grain-free diet. Everything I've read at least mentions the possibility that legume proliferation could be a potential problem. I haven't seen anything specific yet. My dogs used to eat grain free food well so I switched back to it. I mix this grain free kibble 50/50 with Best Breed Chicken w/ Fruits & Vegetables Made in USA [natural kibble for dogs of all breeds and sizes] that also contains duck meal. Ironically, the company makes a few other pellets sold only "All the Breads" and "Working Dogs" that only use chicken. Either way, the dogs seem to enjoy devouring it and licking the bowls clean. The small kibble works well for my 40 lb dogs. The food definitely feels high quality and not crumbly or powdery like some other brands. The crumb will look shiny or oily, which I think is a good thing. Dogs tolerate food and eat it with pleasure. I went to the company's website and was amazed at how they talk about all aspects of food and why they use certain ingredients, croquette size, packaging, etc.
