This seems like a convenient and inexpensive way to transport cupcakes to a wedding. They're great for using with regular straight-sided cupcake paper and have plenty of room for frosting. I made white rosette cupcakes baked in rimmed parchment cupcake paper with a laser cut (slightly flared) lacy cupcake liner on the outside. The crate compartments were too close together and did not have a large enough diameter for this. I had no choice but to make it work by duct-taping the wrappers to keep them from falling apart, first carefully crushing them in the box, then crushing the plain cupcakes and covering them in icing while they were in the box were. Not ideal for this use. Packed in a plastic container for transport.
