I used this to illuminate the lower floor of my living room, which I set up as a bar. This area is no longer lush and does not require constant lighting. These work great. one bright enough to light up a 34 x 20 x 16 d room, however I have chosen to place one in the front left and the other in the back right, eliminating any dark spots. My husband and I can enjoy the fireplace and go for a glass of wine without ruining the atmosphere and I have to tell you the reaction I got when a guest reached for a drink and the light went on was priceless - if we talk about the wow factor. Each unit is powered by four AA batteries which are easy to replace as the sheaf is surface mounted with the included mounting brackets and the unit slides in making changing batteries a breeze. They also work great in a closet or anywhere you don't want a lightbulb heating up the room and as far as heat goes these LED lightbulbs don't get hot and are cool to the touch. I was also able to move the two lamps I had at the ends of each shelf and who doesn't like less clutter? The unit is 1 & 1/8", my shelf bar was long enough to make it invisible, if your shelf is shallower it will show. The price was lower than average with the cabinet lighting I saw online, and the other one I didn't have a motion sensor I recommend these to anyone who needs a bright wand in the light I encourage anyone interested to visit the Mr Beam website as your desired use may require a different model and you may find a pack of 2 or need 6 pieces sold on the site.
