We used them a couple of times in dry weather in the mid 30's and they have worked well. My son doesn't try to take them off and seems comfortable. When we come in outside after 30 minutes or an hour, his hands are cool - not hot, but not cold either. They probably won't hold up in very cold temperatures or in the snow for long periods of time. Overall, they live up to my expectations: they stay on my kids' hands, they're warmer than those cheap knitted mittens, and they're pretty cheap. These will probably be my mittens for anything other than snow play, although we haven't tried them in the snow yet so they might surprise me anyway.
