SUMMARY: Great magnetic fridge case and stand that protects well despite being thinner than other brands. Simple, stylish and very functional design. We have four iPads at home, so I bought four of them in four different colors: black, navy blue, red, and purple. A few years ago I bought an iPad case that was magnetic all the way around the back, which was great because I could put it on the fridge and watch cooking shows while I cooked; and my child in the high chair can FaceTime with dad by moving the high chair closer to the fridge. But this case wasn't perfect as it wasn't a protective case, just a case with a magnetic back. What I really need is a case that protects my iPad in case someone drops it, stands by itself, holds the Apple Pen and is magnetic. When I was looking for my perfect case, I found a number of cases with similar stands and the description would have said they were magnetic, but they were only magnetic in the sense that they "snapped" to stabilize the stand. NOT that they are so magnetic that they stick to the fridge. When I stumbled across these ZUGU cases and saw a picture showing an iPad on top of a fridge and it's ability to stand on its own, I was blown away. There was another case that was similar to this Zugu case, but due to the way Apple's pen case is designed in this Zugu case, it seems like it would be easier or less annoying to get in and out quickly. Efficiency affects productivity and my time is important, so small functional design elements are important to me. The case itself reminds me of my Speck Wallet cases for my iPhone, it's deceptively simple yet functional in every way you need it. be. These Zugu cases are simply well designed. Children up to the age of six occasionally use our iPads to learn colors, numbers, etc. They've dropped them a number of times and the cases have provided excellent protection for the iPad. And the stand is so easy to use that even my 3 year old knows how to set it up. Great. My brother even used this magnetic case to attach his iPad to the hood of his car while he works on the engine and watches YouTube videos! If the presentation is important to you or you are planning to give it as a gift, you should know that the Zugu cases came in a gift box wrapped in tissue paper with a faintly patterned Zugu lion logo.
