My pen had a broken cap: the nylon brush tip was bent

It's beautiful, at least while it lasts. There was a hook at the tip of the nylon brush that couldn't be straightened. I was very careful with the hat. I went through two brush tips. The second developed a snag after a day of use, almost immediately after replacement. My Kuretaki Sumi Sable hairbrush handle doesn't have this costly and annoying problem. The sable hair grip is really outstanding. I bought a second pen to make sure the first one was faulty and that my experience was not normal - so many other reviewers were just as happy with the pen as I was initially. Of course, when comparing pens, I found that the plastic inner cap on the former was too far forward. The moral of the story is that the inner plastic cap can spring forward if loose. This can cause the nylon brush to deform. UPDATE: The replacement tip comes with a clear plastic cap that can replace a broken cap. It's not as aesthetically pleasing as the original cap, but it works and completely eliminates the problem of broken internal parts pushing forward to permanently and prematurely compress the brush. This is because the plastic cover does not contain such components.
