Review on dbx 1231 Dual-Channel, 31-Band Graphic Equalizer in Sleek Black Finish - Enhance your Audio with Precision Control by Erin Rodriguez

I am working on a hearing improvement system for the elderly and I need a quality tool in the middle price range. Been using it for a month now, works great. The extra range (plus or minus 15dB instead of the usual 12dB maximum) is useful for what I do. And I think that the number of frequency ranges is enough. I appreciate that the DBX allows you to remove the chassis ground should you run into ground loop problems. A sign of good engineering in my opinion. My only negative reaction is that the input and output only have balanced 3-pin jacks or 1/4" mono jacks (music industry standard I think), while RCA jacks would be useful for some of us.
