Review on Schmidt's Aluminum Free Natural Deodorant: Geranium Flower for Sensitive Skin, 24 Hour Odor Protection, Cruelty-Free & Vegan, 3.25 oz by Karen Watson

Wow, this stuff is finally here. So it's worth the wait. Once you try this deodorant and see/feel/feel how well it works, you will want to keep using it. It's not cheap, but it's my favorite. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Schmidt's has a selection for SENSITIVE skin. You see, if you want to ditch aluminum and other questionable ingredients, there are plenty of healthier options, including the peach soda that's in regular Schmidt deodorant and is great EXCEPT/until you're feeling sensitive to it. You know you're sensitive when you get itchy, scaly, red, sore armpits. Baking soda only does it for some people (like me). And when it does, it happens in wetter, hotter, and muggier weather. So what's the other option? THAT'S THAT - all of Schmidt's claims that apply to "sensitive skin" DO NOT USE Baking Soda, use MAGNESIUM HYDROXIDE instead! YUP! Why is it interesting? Because magnesium hydroxide (basically your milk of magnesia) makes a super amazing deodorant that doesn't cause a reaction on sensitive skin. VERY GENTLE AND VERY EFFECTIVE. In fact, that's what I usually use - just dip your finger or a piece of cloth in the bottle of milk of magnesia and wipe the pips with it. Aside from working, it's also nice to use a more typical deodorant. It's easier, faster, etc. This material can be a bit dry, especially in the cold season. It warms up slightly on the skin - just hold it there for a while, after which it will start to glide over the skin. It's summer now, so the product just slips up unnecessarily. I'm revising the Geranium Flower Sensitive Skin formula. It smells exactly as I expected - like geranium from geranium essential oil. Slightly floral and tart rose scent. I love it. I've used their pineapple coconut formula for sensitive skin with the same love. Permanent (for me). I have to say that I've used other natural non-soda deodorants that I try to stay away from and they've all been awful to varying degrees. I won't name names but they were all disappointing. I've even had one instance where I swear it was worse than not using deodorant at all - like my stink got worse. So forever will I use Schmidts or just magnesium hydroxide. This ingredient is so effective! Made in the USA, No Aluminum, No Propylene Glycol, No Artificial Flavors, Certified Vegan, Certified Cruelty Free, Gluten Free, love love!
